I am glad to have @chefyeide with my on my journey cos it gets lonely on the narrow path sometimes. It’s important to travel the straight and narrow with someone you trust cos you don’t meet a lot of people on the way.
If your New Years resolution is the liberation of Africa and the dismantling of the political and economic systems that oppress us as motherland people globally, put a ?? in the comment section. The AFRICAN DREAM must be priority!!

Solskjaer vows to "move Man Utd forward' as interim manager

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

Manchester United's caretaker manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer vowed to "move the club forward" on Friday in his first press conference at the helm of the world famous club.
Solskjaer's appointment on Wednesday followed the sacking of Jose Mourinho over the team's worst start of the season in nearly 30 years.
Talking to reporters ahead of Manchester United's Premier League clash on Saturday against Cardiff — a club he managed for nine months in 2014 — Solskjaer said he would take it "game by game."
"My job is for the next six months, I will do as well as I can, to move the club forward.
"I want to get my principles into the boys from the first game. Get the boys to understand how I want them to play, how we want to play as a team.

"Work together and then let's see how many points we can gather. I'm not going to set any targets, we'll take it game by game." he added.
Solskjaer, who was known during his playing days at Man Utd as a "super-sub" — a substitute who comes in late to save the game with decisive goals — also sought to reassure players that they'd have a chance to prove themselves.
Fans and commentators have had mixed reactions to Mourinho's decision in recent matches to keep record signing Paul Pogba out of the starting line-up. The French midfielder had an impressive World Cup campaign, but when he has been selected to play in a United shirt, Pogba rarely showed the same class as he does internationally.
Supporters are hoping that the Norwegian will bring a positivity to Old Trafford, and make some inroads into getting the most out of a misfiring Romelu Lukaku, an ineffective Alexis Sanchez and a gifted but all-too-often marginalised Marcus Rashford.
"When you are at Manchester there are a set of demands — standards expected. One has to be a team player," Solskjaer said, joking: "I don't think anyone has been on the bench more than me!
"You never know, they might come on and make an impact, and they need to grab that opportunity when they get it. They will all get a chance," he added.
Solskjaer was appointed until the end of the season while the club hunts for a new permanent manager. He is expected to return to his manager role in Molde, Norway, in May.
But he made it clear on Friday that he would love to be considered for the Man Utd job.
"So many managers would love to be manager of Manchester United, I am one of them, but it is not something I have talked about. There is a process for the next six months," he said.

Vonn to make season's debut in St Anton

Alpine skiing: Vonn to make season's debut in St Anton

U.S. skier Lindsey Vonn is planning to make her World Cup season's debut in Austria this weekend after recovering from a knee injury.
The 34-year-old, whose 82 career World Cup race victories leave her four short of equalling the all-time record held by Swedish great Ingemar Stenmark, said on Instagram that she would be in St. Anton for a downhill and Super-G.
"I'm NOT done yet!!! It's been a tough six weeks but I'm on skis again and excited to get back in the starting gate. See you in St. Anton this weekend," said the 2010 Olympic downhill champion.
The Austrian resort hosts a women's downhill on Saturday and Super-G on Sunday. Training starts on Thursday.
Vonn, a four-times World Cup overall champion and the most successful female ski racer of all time, injured her knee in Super-G training at Copper Mountain, Colorado, last November.

Although she did not require surgery, Vonn missed the season's opening speed races.
The American has said she plans to retire at the end of the 2018-19 season, although she could delay that in order to compete in the Canadian resort of Lake Louise one more time after missing out last year.
She is also expected to compete in the world championships in Are, Sweden, next month.

Kane penalty gives Tottenham edge over Chelsea in Carabao

Tottenham's Harry Kane celebrates scoring with team mates.

Tottenham Hotspur gained a slender advantage in their League Cup semi-final against London rivals Chelsea as Harry Kane's penalty earned them a 1-0 win in the first leg at Wembley on Tuesday (Jan 8).
Kane's 26th-minute spot kick, his 160th goal for the club, means Mauricio Pochettino's side will be slight favourites to reach the final although there is plenty of work still to do.
The only goal of the evening arrived in unusual circumstances with referee Michael Oliver eventually awarding a penalty with the help of VAR after Spurs skipper Kane was adjudged to have been marginally onside before being taken out by Chelsea keeper Kepa Arrizabalaga.
Kane tucked away the penalty with his usual aplomb to move fourth, above Cliff Jones, on Tottenham's all-time list of goalscorers.
Chelsea, who were far better than in their 3-1 Premier League defeat to Tottenham in November, could count themselves unlucky though as they twice hit the woodwork before the break and completely dominated the second half.
Tottenham had to defend desperately at times and keeper Paulo Gazzaniga was forced into making several sharp saves.
The second leg will take place at Stamford Bridge on Jan 24.
Tottenham are looking to win their first silverware under manager Mauricio Pochettino and their first trophy since beating Chelsea in the 2008 League Cup final.
Holders Manchester City face Burton Albion in the first leg of their semi-final on Wednesday.
